MAILMAN SAYS HE WAS OVERWHELMED WITH DELIVERING MAIL
A New York maliman is facing federal charges after 17k pieces of mail were found with his belongings. According to NBC Aleksey Germash was hoarding people’s mail. An Anonymous tip came to USPS stating that there was a Nissan Pathfinder in Dyke heights in Brooklyn, had over 20 full bags of mail in it. Investigators follow up the tip only to find years of undelivered mail in the mans car home and even in his work locker. Some mail is dated as far back as year 2005. When Germash was asked why he had been taking the mail he state that he was overwhelmed by the amount of mail he had to deliver, but made sure to deliver the important mail. Germash worked for USPS for 16 years.
